We talked about doing special things for our godchildren. One of those things was remembering them on their Baptism Day (Anniversary of their Baptism). My 2016 challenge to you is to look up your children's Baptism dates now and put them on your calendar. Then celebrate them!
It doesn't have to be anything fancy. We started celebrating by letting them decide what to eat for dinner that day and having a special dessert.
Today, for Klaus' Baptism Day, he requested hamburgers, grilled by Eric.
For dessert, I had extra ingredients for Oreo cakeballs that we had made over the holidays. I decided that was perfect, because they're white...cleansed from original sin! ;)
I added blue sugar on top (because I happened to have some) and said that was because Klaus was a boy. Elijah said he thought that represented the water. I like Elijah's idea better.
